The “Time Wheel”

This is really cool.  It’s a giant hourglass that takes an entire year to run out.  At Midnight on New Years Eve, they hook up a rope and hand crank and turn the whole wheel 180 degrees to start all over again.  The aperture in the middle can be adjusted for leap years, so it always takes exactly a year to run out.  It’s in Városliget, which is here.
