Something tells me it’s all happening at the zoo…Posted: January 23, 2008
…I do believe it; I do believe it’s true. We have season passes to the San Diego Zoo, which is a way better value than even Sea World. This is despite the fact that you get an annual pass to Sea World for the price of one day’s admission if you live in Southern California. There are only so many time you can watch the pure cheese that is the Shamu show, and you only fall for the gags at the dolphin show the first time (although I would go see Clyde and Seymore over and over…I love those sea lions). But there’s always something new at the zoo. New baby pandas, a lizard or snake you’ve never seen (because they always seem to hide under the rocks in their enclosure), giraffes cleaning their ears with their own tongues. It’s great. And there are rides. Like the Skyfari. It might look a bit scary at first, but once you get on it’s pure joy. Yes, that’s a komodo dragon. It’s about the same size as K, though it doesn’t look it in this picture. K’s favorite place in the zoo (probably the whole world) is the reptile house where this guy and all his creepy buddies live. M. won’t come near the place. She really doesn’t like snakes. I just thought these guys were funny.
